Let me start off by saying yes, I know a "photo-a-day" blog isn't anything original. The reason I'm starting this blog is because I lost motivation to work on my
original one ... I was struggling with content as well as just not finding the energy to put much into it. Despite that, I really wanted to start blogging again. So yesterday, when I was off work for the MLK Jr. holiday, I thought: I carry my camera with me everywhere anyway, so why not use that as a jumping off point for a blog? A picture a day: it won't be professional and the lighting won't be perfect and it might even be blurry, but it will be a moment in my day that I'll remember. Hopefully the photos will provide me with some inspiration, and I'll be able to write about them. But if not, that's OK. A picture is worth a thousand words.
Sidenote: It was hard for me to use that cheesy cliche. But I figure if you can't be cheesy on your inaugural blog post, when can you?
Stop judging me.
And with that:

My cat has become obsessed with taking mints out of the jar and scattering them around the apartment. This is what I come home to on a typical day.
